The Jets won a couple game in Okotoks vs the Dawgs Academy on a cool fall afternoon. Game 1 Ben Erwin started and went 4 1/3 innings allowing 1 hit, 2 unearned runs with 2 BB’s and 3 K’s. Zach Newman earned the victory going 2 2/3 innings allowing 2 hits with 1 BB and 4 K’s. Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano who was 2 for 3. Brett Mercier was 1 for 4. Damiano Palmegiani was 2 for 3 with double and 3 RBI’s. Victor Cerny was 2 for 4. Kaiden Cardoso was 1 for 4. Owen Harms was 1 for 4 to round out the offense.
Game 2 saw Adam Macko start going 3 1/3 innings allowing 1 hit, 3 runs, 2 earned runs with 4 BB’s and 6 K’s. Garrett Hawkins went 2 2/3 innings allowing 7 hits, 5 runs with 2 BB’s. Chase Floredine finished things off going 1 inning with a BB and a K. Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano who was 2 for 5 with a double and an RBI. Owen Harms was 1 for 5 with an RBI. Victor Cerny was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI’s. Brett Mercier was 1 for 3 with an RBI. Ty Penner was 2 for 5 with 3 RBI’s. Matt Rath was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s. Cooper Jones was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s to round out the offense.
The Jets and Dawgs will meet up again tomorrow in Vauxhall 12 noon DH.
