Successful BOW & Graduation Weekend

It has been a busy spring for the Jets playing 32 games to day with a 21-11 record overall. The Jets travelled to Kamloops for the pretigious Best of the West Tournament advancing to the semi final ultimately finising in 3rd place overall. Following a solid trip to Kamloops we travelled home to take on the Great Falls Chargers on graduation weekend. Congrats to all graduating players on a successful weekend both on the off the field.

Successful 11 game road trip to Las Vegas!

The Jets were finally able to escape the snow and travel south to Las Vegas, NV to warmer weather. The Jets played 11 games in 13 days as well as a couple practices. The Jets competed against several of the top programs in the United States from several states – Nevada, Utah, Colorado and California. Overall the Jets finished the trip with a 5-6 record competed in the Basic Academy tournament as well as the Bishop Gorman Tournaments. See results below:

Jets have a successful fall!

The Jets finished off the fall season playing 17 games as well as hosting a successful PBR scout day. Several players also made the trip to Toronto to participate in the pretigious Blue Jays showcase at the roster center. The 2023/2024 roster consists of 10 newcomers and 12 veterans coming to Vauxhall from BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec, Ontario, PEI, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The current Jets roster has the following breakdown: 11 seniors, 9 juniors and 2 sophmores. Below is the final scores for each fall game:

Jets are off and running in 2023/2024!

The Vauxhall Academy is off and running with season #18 underway. An exciting new wave of 1st year players as well as some talented experienced veterans look to lead the Jets into the fall season. The team undertook some MLB combine testing to open up the training. The Jets will open the fall campaign in Lethbridge September 9th vs Parkland Academy 10:00 am, PBA 12:30 pm and then again on Sunday September 10th vs Parkland 12:30 pm, PBA 3:00 pm.

Jets BOW Champions with 5-3 victory over Okotoks!!

The Vauxhall Academy finished with a perfect 5-0 record to win the pretigious Best of the West Tournament in Kamloops, BC.

Jets win PBA Tournament with 6-2 win over Okotoks Dawgs!

Jets run the table to win the Prairie Baseball Academy tournament for the 6th straight time.  The Jets finished the weekend with a 5-0 record overall including a 6-2 victory over the Okotoks Dawgs in the finals.

Brett Getz was dominant throwing a complete game going 5 IP allowing 6 hits 1 run with 0 BB’s and 7 K’s.  Offensively the Jets were led by Stevyn Andrachick who was 1 for 2 with an RBI.  Kyle Yip was 1 for 4 with a 2B and 2 RBI’s.  Colin Fisher was 3 for 4 with a 2B and 2 RBI’s. Alex Laurence was 1 for 2 with an RBI.  Seth Christie was 2 for 2 with an RBI.  Luke Wheatley was 2 for 3 with an RBI.

Jets finish 3-1 in the Langley series!

Langley, BC –

The Jets made the journey over the Rocky Mountains for a series vs the Langley Blaze for the 1st time in both programs history. Big shout out and thank you to the Blaze program for a first class weekend on many fronts from supplying meals to the field conditions and most importantly great competition. The weekend was more than just baseball a weekend to showcase and competition between 2 of the better programs in Western Canada.

Successful trip to Las Vegas, NV including National ranked victory!

The trip started off a bit shaky with poor weather in Twin Falls, Idaho and Salt Lake City pushed the schedule further south to Las Vegas.

It was a beautiful weekend in Lethbridge for a 4 game set vs Prairie Baseball Academy.  The Dawgs won the first 2 games with the Jets taking the final 2 games for a split.

The Jets opened the 2022/2023 campaign with 4 victories in the Annual Keith Jorgensen Tournament in Lethbridge, AB.  Overall, it was a solid weekend on a very hot weekend in Lethbridge.
