The Jets found themselves behind 7-3 after 6 innings despite only allowing 1 hit. The Jets walked 7 batters, hit 2 and made 4 errors in the first 6 innings. Brandon Radmacher started on the mound going 3 2/3 innings allowing 1 hit, 5 unearned runs, 3 BB’s with 6 K’s. Nelson Quark threw2 innings allowing 2 unearned runs with 3 BB’s and 5 K’s. Nic Stobbe threw 1 1/3 innings allowing 2 hits, 1 run and 1 BB. Offensively, the Jets were led by Justin Clarkson who was 1 for 3. Nolan Bumstead who was 1 for 4 with an RBI double. Jager Toffan was 1 for 2 with 2 RBI’s. Jose Calderon and Treyton Grant pitched in with a hit a piece.
Game 2 saw the Jets come out strong. JP Stevenson was dominant in his first start as a Jet going 4 innings allowing 0 hits, 0 runs with 5 K’s and 0 BB’s. Ben Kennedy threw 1 inning, 3 unearned runs with 4 BB’s and 1 K. Luc Hebert threw the final 2 innings allowing 0 hit, 0 runs with 4 K’s. Offensively, several Jets had big games. Chris Thibideau was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 RBI’s. Justin Clarkson was 3 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI’s. Jager Toffan was 2 for 3 with a HR and 3 RBI’s.
