Jets take 2 on a beautiful day at Jets!

Vauxhall, AB – 

It was another beautiful day at Jets Stadium as the Jets took 2 game from the Badlands Academy by scores of 9-4 and 10-5.

Game 1 saw Thomas Little start on the mound going 3 IP allowing 2 hits, 1 run with 2 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Justin Adamoski threw 2 IP allowing 3 hits, 2 runs with 1 BB and 3 K’s.  Levi Abbott finished things off going 2 IP allowing 1 hit, 1 run with 3 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Dayton Peters who was 1 for 2.  Shayne Campbell was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Carlin Dick was 1 for 4 with a double.  Evan O’Toole was 3 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Logan Domanski was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Nick Gravel was 1 for 3 with a double.  Logan Grant rounded out the offense going 1 for 2.

Game 2 saw Chase Florendine start on the mound going 3 IP allowing 4 hits, 1 earned run with 1 BB and 1 K.  Ben Adams earned the victory going 2 2/3 IP allowing 3 hits, 0 earned runs with 3 K’s.  Reece Keller earned the save going 1 1/3 IP allowing 1 BB with 2 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Logan Domanski was 2 for 4.  Carlin Dick was 1 for 4.  Max Grant was 2 for 3 with a solo HR.  Evan O’Toole had a monster day going 2 for 3 with a grand slam and 5 RBI’s.  Josh Malainey was 1 for 4.  Jackson Clemett was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.

The 2 wins finishes off an successful graduation and Mothers Day weekend.  Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there.

Next up Haven Tournament with the Jets taking on the Lethbridge Elks at 7 pm Thursday night.

Jets split with Okotoks on a cold Saturday at Jets!

The Jets lost in extras in game 1 by a score of 8-5 and in game 2 the Jets walked off 4-3.

Game 1 saw Adam Macko go 4 innings allowing 2 hit, 2 unearned runs with 4 BB’s and 8 K’s.  Matt Wiggins threw 1 1/3 innings allowing 3 hits, 2 earned runs with 3 K’s and 2 BB’s.  Chase Florendine threw 1 2/3 innings allowing 1 hit, 3 runs, 2 earned runs with 4 K’s and 2 BB’s.  Tyler Boudreau threw the last inning with 2 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by John Vulcano who was 2 for 4.  Dayton Peters was 2 for 4.  Max Grant was 2 for 3 with a double.  Shayne Campbell was 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI.  Carlin Dick rounded out the offense going 1 for 3.

Game 2 saw Dayton Peters head a line drive double to score Nick Gravel and walk off 4-3.  Thomas Little was outstanding going 6 innings allowing 2 hits, 2 runs with 5 K’s and 3 BB’s.  Evan O’Toole got the win going 1 inning allowing 1 hit, 1 run with 2 K’s and 1 BB.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Dayton Peters who was 1 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Shayne Campbell was 1 for 3.  Ty Wevers was 1 for 3 with a double and Josh Malainey was 1 for 3 to round out the offense.

The Jets now travel to Okotoks for a 12 noon DH Sunday.

Jets win the PBA Showcase for the 4th straight year!

 

 

Lethbridge, AB –

It was a very cool and windy day in Lethbridge to finish off the 4th Annual PVA JV Showcase.  The day opened with a 10-0 victory over Calgary Babe Ruth.  The Jets outhit them 10-1 in a mercy rule shortened game.  Adam Macko started on the mound going 2 IP with 3 K’s and 1 BB. Reece Keller finished things off going 3 IP allowing 1 hit with 1 BB and 4 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Dayton Peters who was 3 for 3 with a HR.  John Vulcano was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Shayne Campbell was 1 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Jackson Clemett was 3 for 3 with an RBI.  Carlin Dick was 1 for 1.  Ty Wevers was 2 for 2 with a triple and 3 RBI’s to round out the offense.

The final ended up being a pitchers duel with the Jets scoring a run in the 1st inning and held on to win by a score of 1-0.    Levi Abbott was dominate throwing a complete game allowing 1 hit with 1 BB and 5 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by John Vulcano who was 2 for 3.  Dayton Peters was very good going 1 for 3 .  Shayne Campbell was 1 for 3.  Evan O’Toole was 1 for 3.  Jackson Clemett had the eventual game winning sac fly in the 1st inning .

A couple of days off now then getting ready for next weekened with 2 games in Vauxhall & 2 games in Okokoks.

The Jets won by a score of 8-0 despite a few to many free passes on a very cold afternoon.

Thomas Little started on the mound going 3 1/3 innings allowing 1 hit, 5 BB’s and & 7 K’s.  Maddux Mateychuk threw 2 2/3 innings allowing 0 hits with 4 BB’s and 2 K’s.  John Vulcano finished things off going 1 inning allowing 1 hit with 2 K’s.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Logan Domanski who was 1 for 5 with 1 RBI.  Dayton Peters was 2 for 4 with a triple and an RBI.  Max Grant was 2 for 4 with an RBI.  Shayne Campbell was 1 for 3.  Carlin Dick was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Evan O’Toole was 1 for 3 and Nick Gravel was 1 for 4 with a triple and RBI.

The Jets now play in the semi final at 5:30 pm in semi final at Spitz Stadium.

Jets get off to a good start at PBA Tournament!

The Jets started the PBA JV Tournament off on a good note winning 2 games on a beautiful sunny afternoon in Lethbridge.

Game 1 saw the Jets win by a score of 3-1 over PBA JV despite out hitting them 7-2.  Matt Wiggins started on the mound earning the victory going 5 innings allowing 2 hits, 1 uneared run with 1 BB and 5 K’s.  Evan O’Toole earned the save going 2 innings allowing 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 BB’s with 4 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by John Vulcano who was 1 for 3.  Logan Domanski was 2 for 3.  Shayne Campbell was 1 for 2.  Jackson Clemett was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Carlin Dick rounded out the offense going 1 for 3 to round out the offense.

The Jets play Parkland tomorrow at 1 pm at Lloyd Nolan Yard.

It was a beautiful day in southern Alberta for a doubleheader with sunny skies and a slight breeze.  Game 1 saw the Jets score early and never looked back cruising to a 14-1 victory.  Thomas Little started on the mound going 3 1/3 innings allowing 0 hits with 4 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Tyler Boudreau finished things off going 1 2/3 innings allowing 1 hit, 1 unearned run with 3 BB’s and 2 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets managed 14 hits.  Dayton Peters was 3 for 4 with a triple.  Max Grant was 1 for 3.  Nick Gravel was 1 for 1 with an RBI.  Jackson Clemett was 3 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Ty Wevers was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s.  Carlin Dick was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI’s.  Evan O’Toole was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Josh Malainey rounded out the offense going 1 for 3.

Game 2 was much tighter with a good LHP on the hill for the Dino’s.  Final score Jets 5 Dino’s 3.  Levi Abbott started on the mound going 3 innings allowing 3 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run with 1 BB and 4 K’s.  Maddux Mateychuk went 1 inning allowing 1 hit 1 unearned run.  John Vulcano threw 1 inning with 1 BB and 1 K.  Evan O’Toole finished things off for the save going 2 innings allowing 2 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Logan Domanski who was 1 for 3.  Max Grant was 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Carlin Dick was 1 for 2 with 2 RBI’s.  Jackson Clemett was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Logan Grant rounded out the offense going 1 for 3.

The Jets will take a couple of days off before opening the PBA Tournament in Lethbridge Friday.

Jets come out on top in Great Falls!

Great Falls, Montana – 

It was a beautiful Friday evening in Great Falls, Montana for a game at Centenne Stadium home of the White Sox rookie team.

The Jets scored early and cruised to a 7-2 victory.  On the mound Matt Wiggins started and got the win going 4 innings allowing 1 hit, 1 run with 2 BB’s and 6 K’s.  Carlin Dick threw 1 inning allowing 1 hit, 1 unearned run with 2 K’s.  Justin Adamoski was good in relief going 2 innings with 0’s across the board and 4 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by John Vulcano who was 2 for 2.  Max Grant was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Logan Domanski was 3 for 5 with an RBI.  Dayton Peters was 1 for 1.  Ty Wevers was 2 for 3 with a triple.  Jackson Clemett was 2 for 4 with an RBI and Logan Grant was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.

Game 2 saw the Jets score later but similar result winning in a rain shorten game 12-2.  Reece Keller was dominate in a shorten no hitter going 4 innings with 2 unearned runs 2 BB’s and 9 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Logan Domanski who was 1 for 3.  Dayton Peters was 1 for 3.  Josh Malainey was 1 for 2.  Ty Wevers was 3 for 2 with an RBI.  Jackson Clemett was 3 for 4 with 4 RBI’s.  Nick Gravel was 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 RBI’s.  Logan Grant was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI.

The Jets now return home to take on the U of C JV Sunday with a 12 noon DH at Jets Stadium

Jets have a tough one and lose semi to Langley!

Kamloops, BC –

The Jets dropped the semi final game vs Langley Blaze by a score of 9-2.  It was a tough ball game with to many free passes.  On the mound Ben Adams started and battled through 3 innings allowing 0 hits, 3 runs, 2 earned runs with 5 BB’s and 5 K’s.  Chase Florendine threw 1 inning allowing 2 hits, 2 runs with 2 BB’s and 1 K.  Tyler Boudreau threw 1 1/3 innings allowing 4 hits, 3 runs, 2 earned runs.  Maddux Mateychuk finished things off going 1 2/3 innings allowing 1 hit, 1 run with 1 BB and 2 K’s.

Offensively, the Jets swung the bats well facing their 3rd Team Canada arm in a row.  John Vulcano was 2 for 4.  Carlin Dick was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Shayne Campbell was 1 for 3.  Max Grant was 1 for 3 with a double.  Dayton Peters was 1 for 3 with a double.  Josh Malainey was 1 for 3.  Nick Gravel was 1 for 3 to round out the offense.

The loss was a tough one overall but also ended a very successful 13 game road trip thru Las Vegas and Kamloops.  The final record between the 2 trips 9-2-1.

The Jets will travel back to Alberta and back again on the road next weekend vs Great Falls Chargers, Billings Scarlets and final at home Sunday.

 

 

Jets finish round robin with a tie vs North Shore Twins!

Kamloops, BC –

The Jets and North Shore Twins ended up tied 3-3 in a back and forth game.  The Jets ended up safety squeezing in the bottom of the 6th to tie the game at 3.

Thomas Little started on the mound going 3 2/3 innings allowing 5 hits, 3 runs, 1 earned run with 4 BB’s and 2 K’s.  Evan O’Toole was very good in relief going 3 1/3 inning allowing 0 hits, 0 runs with 1 BB and 1 K.

Offensively, the Jets were led by John Vulcano who was 1 for 4 with a double.  Max Grant was 1 for 4.  Shayne Campbell was 1 for 4 with a double.  Josh Malainey was 2 for 3 and Logan Domanski was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.

The tie allows the Jets to finish 1st in their pool and will now match up with the Langley Blaze at 11:30 am in the semi final.

Jets came out ready to play with a couple of victories over North Delta Blue Jays 9-1 then Langley Blaze 11-4.

Jets will now take on North Shore Twin tomorrow at 2 pm at Norbrock Stadium.
