Missoula, MT –

The Jets came out ready to play against the CSA Lumberman.  It started on the mound with Adam Macko getting the starting going a complete game going 7 innings allowing 3 hits with 3 BB’s and 14 K’s on 96 pitches.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano who was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Brett Mercier was 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI.  Ty Penner was 1 for 3 with a solo HR.  Owen Harms was 1 for 3 and Matt Rath rounded out the offense going 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.

Game 2 saw the Jets score 5 runs in the 1st inning and 2 runs in the 2nd cruising to an 8-2 victory.  Ben Erwin was also dominant on the mound going a complete game going 7 innings allowing 6 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run with 2 BB’s and 7 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets had 8 players contribute with base hits.  Liam Vulcano was 1 for 4.  Jared Binsfeld was 2 for 4.  Brett Mercier was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.  Cooper Jones was 2 for 4 with a double and a triple and an RBI.  Dayton Peters was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Ty Penner was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  Kaiden Cardoso was 1 for 3 and Matt Rath was 1 for 3 to round out the offense.

The Jets now play tomorrow at 12:30 pm vs Helena.

The Jets came out flat and couldn’t recover scoring 4 runs in 7th falling 6-4 to the Great Falls Chargers.

Zach Newman started on the mound going 5 innings allowing 5 hits, 4 runs, 1 earned run with 3 BB’s and 1 K.  Connor Green threw the final 2 innings allowing 3 hits, 2 unearned runs with 1 K.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano who was 1 for 4.  Cooper Jones was 1 for 4.  Brett Mercier was 1 for 3.  Jared Binsfeld was 1 for 4.  Ty Penner was 2 for 2 with a double and an RBI.  Dayton Peters was 2 for 3.  Matt Rath rounded out the offense going 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.

The Jets next action is Sunday at 12:30 pm vs Coeur d Alene, Idaho Lumberman.

Vauxhall, AB – 

The Jets combined for a 5 inning no hitter while the offense managed 13 hits and 17 RBI’s in the 17-2 defeat of the Lethbridge Elks.

Garrett Hawkins started on the mound going 4 innings allowing 2 unearned runs with 9 K’s and 2 BB’s.  Zach Newman finished things off going the final inning with 2 K’s to combine for a no hitter.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano who was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Cooper Jones was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Brett Mercier was 3 for 3 with a 3 run line drive HR and 4 total RBI’s.  Jared Binsfeld was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Ty Penner was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Dayton Peters was 2 for 3 and Matt Rath rounded out the offense going 1 for 2 with 3 RBI’s.

The VAB Jets started the day off with one of our weakest efforts losing 9-8 to Medicine Hat before bouncing back with a great game winning 8-0 over Great Falls.

Game 1 saw Connor Green get the start going 4 2/3 innings allowing 6 hits, 9 runs, 6 earned runs with 5 BB’s and 5 K’s.  Ty Penner finished things off going 2 1/3 innings allowing 2 hits with 3 K’s.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano going 2 for 4.  Cooper Jones was 3 for 5 with an RBI.  Brett Mercier was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Jared Binsfeld was 2 for 5 with an RBI.  Kaiden Cardoso was 1 for 4 with an RBI and Matt Gough was 1 for 2.

Game 2 saw Ben Erwin dominate going 7 innings allowing 1 hit with 2 BB’s and 11 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets had 12 hits from 6 different players.  Liam Vulcano was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. Cooper Jones was 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI.  Brett Mercier was 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI.  Jared Binsfeld was 3 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI’s.  Ty Penner was 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI.  Matt Gough rounded out the offense going 1 for 2 with an RBI.

The Jets are very short handed this weekend with 4 players away with the Canadian Junior National Team and the flu bug making its way through the team.
