Kamloops, BC –
The VAB Jets lost in the semi-final of the Best of the West to Okotoks by a score of 7-2. The score was tied at 2-2 into the 5th inning until several BB’s and a clutch hit eventually cost the Jets the game. Tanner Spencer started for the Jets and went 4 1/3 innings allowing 5 hits, 4 runs, 4 BB’s and 2 K’s. Luke Whelpton threw the next 1/3 of an inning struggling to find the plate allowing 1 hit, 1 run with 2 BB’s. Jesse Borden threw well in relief allowing 1 hit, 1 run with 3 K’s over an 1 1/3.
Offensively, the Jets managed only 3 hits with Jager Toffan, Mitch McGeein and Dan Moro collecting the hits.
