Jets win 2 on Sunday to come out on top!

Okotoks, AB – 

It was an exciting day of baseball in Okotoks to finish up the 3rd Annual Okotoks Dawgs Tournament.

The semi final match up was with a good Okotoks Reds club.  JP Stevenson was outstanding starting on the mound going 6 innings allowing 2 hits with 1 BB and 6 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets had a productive day.  Joel Mazurkewich was 1 for 3.  Nolan Rattai was 1 for 3 for 3 RBI’s.  Brayden Resch was 1 for 4.  Trey Grant was 2 for 2 with 3 runs scored.  Brett Harrison was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Alex Bishop was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Tyler Scott was 2 for 2 with an RBI.  The victory lead to a match-up vs Okotoks Black.

The final game saw the Jets fall behind to Okotoks Blk 2-0, 4-1 and 6-2 before scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th including a 2 run triple by Brayden Resch to win the ball game.

Jared Kennedy start on the mound going 4 innings allowing 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run with 2 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Nolan Bumstead earned the victory going 3 innings allowing 6 hits, 4 runs, 2 earned runs with 4 K’s.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Nolan Bumstead who was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  Brayden Resch was 2 for 4 with a triple and 3 RBI’s.  Trey Grant was 1 for 3 with a double.  Brett Harrison was 2 for 3 to round out the offense.

The Tournament victory is the 3rd straight for the Jets in Okotoks.

Jets score early and cruise to a 10-0 win over Team SK!

Okotoks, AB – 

The Vauxhall Jets scored 5 runs in the first 2 innings and cruised to a 10-0 victory over Team SK.

Jesse Borden started on the mound going 5 innings allowing 4 hits with 2 BB’s and 8 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Tyler Scott who was 2 for 4 with an RBI.  Nolan Bumstead was 2 for 3 with a double and 4 RBI’s.  Brayden Resch was 1 for 3.  Wyatt Schlosser was 1 for 2.  Alex Bishop was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Chris Thomas was 1 for 3 and Jay Oram was 1 for 2 with a triple.

The win puts the Jets in 1st place in Pool B.  The Jets will now get a bye to the semi final tomorrow at 11:30 am at Seaman Stadium.

Jets open with 2 wins at Okotoks Tournie!

Okotoks, AB – 

The Jets opened the Okotoks Tournie with 2 wins.  12-11 over North Delta and 3-1 over Okotoks.

Game 1 saw Brady Moxham start on the mound going 1 inning allowing 4 hits, 7 runs with 3 K’s and a 1 BB.  Josh Burgmann threw well going 5 innings in relief allowing 6 hits, 1 run with 3 K’s.  Nolan Bumstead threw 1 inning allowing 2 hits, 3 runs, 1 earned run with 1 BB and 1 K.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Nolan Rattai who was 1 for 3 with a double.  Nolan Bumstead was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Brayden Resch was 0 for 1 but had 2 RBI’s.  Wyatt Schlosser was 2 for 3 with a double and 4 RBI’s.  Cole Schneider was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  Alex Bishop and Chris Thomas rounded out the offense with 1 hit each.

Game 2 was a great game for both sides.  The Jets scored 2 runs in extra innings to defeat the Okotoks Dawgs 3-1.  Ben Onyshko started and went 7 strong innings to earn the victory allowing 4 hits, 1 run with 3 BB and 10 K’s.  Reily O’Rourke earned the save throwing 1 inning with 1 hit and 3 K’s.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Nolan Rattai who was 1 for 2.  Nolan Bumstead was 2 for 4 with a double.  Treyton Grant was 1 for 2 with a double.  Tyler Scott was 3 for 4 with a double.  Jay Oram rounded out the offense going 1 for 3 with a double.

Next action is Saturday at 10 am vs Team SK.

Jets take 2 from Great Falls!

It was cool and rainy but didn’t stop the Jets from taking 2 games from the GF Chargers at Jets.

Game 1 ended Jets 5 Chargers 4.  Jesse Borden started on the mound going 3 innings allowing 3 hits, 2 runs with 1 BB and 2 K’s.  Brady Moxham threw 2 great innings with 2 K’s. Brody Burnett was also solid in 2 innings allowing 1 BB with 2 K’s.  Ben Onyshko earned the save going 2 innings allowing 2 hits, 2 runs with 1 BB and 5 K’s.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Chris Thomas who was 3 for 4.  Alex Bishop was 1 for 3.  Nolan Bumstead was 1 for 2 with a double.  Nolan Rattai was 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI.  Joel Mazurkewich was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.

Game 2 saw the Jets win by a score of 10-4.  JP Stevenson earned the win going 3 innings allowing 0 hits with 5 K’s.  Jared Kennedy threw 1 inning allowing 1 unearned run with 2 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Reily O’Rouke allowing 3 hits, 2 runs with 1 BB.  Jake Cook threw 1 innings allowing 2 hits, 1 run with 1 BB and 1 K.  Nolan Bumstead finished things off allowing 1 BB and 2 K’s.

The Jets scored 10 runs in the first 3 innings on route to a 13-5 victory.

JP Stevenson started on mound going 2 innings allowing 1 hit with 1 BB and 1 K.  Reily O’Rourke threw 2 solid innings allowing 2 BB’s and 1 K.  Nolan Bumstead was dominant going 2 innings allowing 1 BB with 4 K’s.  Brody Burnett threw 2 innings allowing 2 hits, 1 run with 2 BB’s.  Jake Cook finished things off throwing 1 inning allowing 3 hits, 4 runs, 3 earned runs with 1 BB.

Offensively, the Jets offense was spread out with 10 different Jets getting hits.  Joel Mazurkewich was 2 for 2 with a triple and 2 RBI’s.  Nolan Rattai was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Nolan Bumstead was 2 for 4 with a double.  Brayden Resch was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Brett Harrison was 1 for 1.  Wyatt Schlosser was 1 for 2.  Trey Grant was 2 for 2 with 2 doubles and 1 RBI.  Alex Bishop was 1 for 6 with 2 RBI’s.  Jay Oram was 2 for 4.  Mike Holmes was 1 for 5 with a double to round out the offense.

Next action is graduation weekend vs Okotoks Dawgs Saturday DH and Great Fall Sunday DH.   It is an exciting time for all our graduates and hope to see lots of fans out at Jets Stadium to support them.

After working on the field for over 6 hours the Jets got the field ready to play and came out on top 13-4 in a full 9 inning game.

Ben Onyshko started on the mound going 2 innings striking out 6 Monarchs and earning the victory.  Brady Moxham threw the following 2 innings allowing 3 hits, 2 runs with 2 K’s.  Jared Kennedy threw 1 inning allowing 2 runs with 5 BB’s and 1 K.  Jesse Borden threw 3 innings allowing 1 hit, 2 BB’s with 2 K’s and Jake Cook closed things out throwing 1 inning with 2 K’s.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Joel Mazurkewich who was 2 for 4.  Nolan Rattai was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI’s.  Nolan Bumstead was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Brett Harrison was 2 for 6 with a 3 run HR and 4 RBI’s.  Wyatt Schlosser was 2 for 4 with a double.  Jay Oram was 1 for 2.  Tyler Scott was 3 for 5 with 3 RBI’s and Mike Holmes rounded out the offense going 1 for 1 with a double.

The Jets used timely pitching and hitting in game 1 to win by a score of 5-3 and game 2 strong pitching and a strong offense lead the Jets to a 10-3 victory.

Game 1 saw Josh Burgmann started going 5 innings allowing 2 hits, 1 run with 6 BB’s and 6 K’s.  Brody Burnett finished things off for the save going 2 innings allowing 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run with 3 BB’s and 1 K.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Brayden Resch who was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Treyton Grant was 1 for 3.  Wyatt Schlosser was 1 for 2 with a 2 run HR.  Alex Bishop was 1 for 3, Chris Thomas was 1 for 2 and Jay Oram was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and an RBI.

Jets take 2 games from the Dawgs to open at home!

The Jets came out ready to play in game 1 and it continued for the entire day.  Game 1 saw the Jets win by a score of 5-1 and won game 2 11-6.

Jesse Borden started on the mound going 5 2/3 innings allowing 5 hits, 1 run with 2 BB’s and 6 K’s.  Jared Kennedy closed things out earning a save going 1 1/3 innings allowing 2 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Ty Scott who was 3 for 4.  Joel Mazurkewich was 1 for 4.  Brayden Resch was 2 for 2 with a double and an RBI.  Trey Grant was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Nolan Rattai rounded out the offense going 1 for 1 with a double and 2 RBI’s.

The Jets will square off again tomorrow on Easter Sunday with a 1 pm DH vs Dawgs.

Jets finish Vegas off with a strong performance!

The Jets finished off the Las Vegas trip with a strong performance against a good Riverton HS club winning 6-1.

Josh Burgmann started on the mound going 4 innings allowing 6 hits, 1 run, 1 BB with 7 K’s.  Jake Cook threw 2 1/3 innings in relief allowing 2 hits with 1 BB.  Brody Burnett finished things off throwing 2/3 of an inning allowing 1 hit.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Wyatt Schlosser who was 1 for 4.  Brayden Resch was 2 for 2 with an RBI.  Brett Harrison was 1 for 1 with an RBI double.  Treyton Grant was 1 for 2.  Joel Mazurkewich was 1 for 2 with an RBI double.  Alex Bishop was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Cole Schneider and Mike Holmes rounded out the offense both going 1 for 3.

Next action for the Jets is Saturday and Sunday with DH’s vs PBA JV at Jets Stadium.

Jets bats come alive in 11-3 victory over Page HS, Arizona!

The Jets came out swinging the bats and a strong start by Jesse Borden was the difference in a lopsided victory.  Jesse Borden started on the mound going 4 innings allowing 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run with 0 BB’s and 7 K’s.  Jared Kennedy threw 1 2/3 innings in relief allowing 0 hits, 1 run with 2 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Brody Burnett threw the final 1 1/3 innings allowing 1 hit to close out the game.

Offensively, the Jets pounded out 13 hits in total.  Tyler Scott was 2 for 4 with an RBI.  Wyatt Schlosser was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Nolan Rattai was 2 for 4 with an RBI.  Trey Grant was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Brett Harrison was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Joel Mazurkewich was 2 for 4 with a triple.  Mike Holmes was 1 for 3 with an RBI and Jay Oram was 1 for 2.

The Jets will play Saturday before flying home to open up Jets Stadium.
