The 3rd Annual Awards/Scholarship Fundrasising Dinner was once again a great success.  The evening was highlighted with former 7 year MLB vetran Chris Reitsma as the featured speaker.  He enlighted the crowd with inspiration and his continual battle with injuries.  Once again Global Lethbridge Sports Anchor – Marty Baceda – MC’d the evening and keep the evening rolling and the crowd on their toes with his “Harry Carry” imitations.  The silent auction, live auction, men’s/women’s draw, 50/50 etc were once again a great success. 

The evening award winners were the following:

1.  Coaches Awards (Creative Awards)  – Hardest workers in the offseason – Senior – Steven Inch, Senior – Daniel Worb.

2.  Fitting into VHS – Senior – Jean Guy Bilodeau.

3.  Leadership/Dedication – Senior – Tyler Vavra.

4.  Wanda Stober Memorial Scholarship – Senior – Jamin Heller.

5.  Jet of the Year (Servus Credit Union) – Senior – Adam Nelubowich.

6.  Sports Connection Scholarship – Senior – Cole Stober.

7.  Sports Connection Scholarship – Senior – Brandon Petite.

8.  Reno Lizzi Underclassman Scholarship – Junior – Taylor Simmonds.

9.  Reno Lizzi Underclassman Scholarship – Junior – Shane Zimmer.

10.  Reno Lizzi Scholarship and Ring – Senior – Austin Cooper.

** Special Recognition Award Presented to SAT Advisor and Career Counsellor – Garth Mouland.

Thank you for all who attended the banquet this year as well to all who donated auction items and their time – as well special thank you for all the staff and students who made the banquet a huge success yet again with special recognition to Shannon Mossey, Travis Mags, Jan Tolton, and Linda Unruh.
