Lethbridge, AB –

It was the Annual TCMM game at Spitz Stadium in Lethbridge.  Lethbridge Bulls of the WMBL vs the Vauxhall Academy Jets.  The game is much more than baseball but a chance to remember the lives lost tragically in December of 2011.  This year brought something new with the 1st Annual kids camp prior to the game.  Over 120 kids enjoyed 1 hour of instruction from the Bulls and Jets players.

Both clubs were a bit short handed with players gone with Team Canada or still not returning from their college season.  The game ended in a tie 6-6 with the Bulls stranding a couple in the bottom of the 9th inning.  The Jets struggled throwing strikes at time which game the Bulls several runs with the Jets outhitting the Bulls 10-2 in the game.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Shawn Grandmont who was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Jordan Malainey was 3 for 5.  Jordan Dray was 1 for 3.  Tyler Wood was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Damiano Palmegiani was 1 for 5 with a double and an RBI.  Ben Erwin was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles.  Liam Vulcano rounded out the offense going 1 for 3 with an RBI.

The Jets will finish off the season with a trip to Missoula for their Memorial Day Tournament starting Saturday morning.  Missoula Mavericks website for more details.
