Jets continue to stay in the win column with a 10-2 win over Victoria!

Kamloops, BC – 

The game saw the Jets down early to the Victoria Mariners 2-1 before breaking it open with 7 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning leading to a final score 10-2 for the Jets.

Garrett Nicholson started on the mound going 4 innings allowing 3 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run with 2 BB’s and 2 K’s.  Connor Green finished things off going 1 inning with 1 K.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Owen Harms who was 1 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Damiano Palmegiani was 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI.  Victor Cerny was 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI.  Dayton Peters was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Kaiden Cardoso was 1 for 3 with an RBI and Ty Penner rounded out the offense going 1 for 2.

The Jets finished as the #1 seed and will meet up with the North Shore Twins in the semi final at 11 am at the Stadium.

Jets open the BOW with a victory over the Badlands!

Kamloops, BC – 

The Jets opened up the BOW with a 9-0 victory over Badlands Academy. Adam Macko started on the mound going 4 innings allowing 1 hit with 1 BB and 5 K’s to earn the victory.  Chase Florendine finished things off going 2 innings allowing 3 BB’s with 4 K’s.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano who was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Damiano Palmegiani was 2 for 4 with a double.  Victor Cerny was 1 for 2 with 3 RBI’s.  Dayton Peters was 1 for 4.  Brett Mercier was 2 for 4 with an RBI to round out the offense.

The Jets now play at 4:30 pm vs Coquitlam Reds at 4:30 pm.

Jets lose a tough one 9-7 in the semi!

Las Vegas, NV – 

The VAB Jets were entering the semi final game vs Desert Oasis in good shape.  A sudden game time change put the club in a scramble leading up to the semi.  Several base running and defensive mistakes were to much to overcome falling 9-7 to a solid Desert Oasis club out of Nevada.

Jaden Griffen started on the mound going 3 2/3 innings allowing 6 hits, 6 runs, 6 unearned runs with 3 BB’s and 4 K’s.  Zach Newman threw 2 innings allowing 6 hits, 3 runs with 1 K.  Chase Florendine tossed a very solid 1 1/3 with 1 BB.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano who was 2 for 3.  Owen Harms was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Damiano Palmegiani was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Victor Cerny was 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI.  Cooper Jones was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s.  Jared Binsfeld was 1 for 3 with an RBI and Brett Mercier rounded out the offense going 1 for 2.

The Jets now travel to Kamloops for a 7 pm vs Badlands Academy Wednesday April 12th at Norbrock Stadium.

Jets stay undefeated in Vegas with a 5-0 win over Brighton HS!

 

Las Vegas, NV – 

The Jets stayed undefeated in Vegas with a 5-0 victory over Brighton HS out of Utah.  The game was tight until the bottom of the 4th when Dayton Peters hit a 2 run shot to make it 3-0.

Connor Green started on the mound going 4 good innings allowing 2 hits with 3 BB’s and 6 K’s to earn the victory.  Garrett Hawkins slammed the door going 3 innings allowing 0 hits, 0 BB’s recording 8 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano who was 1 for 4.  Owen Harms was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Damiano Palmegiani was 1 for 4 with a double.  Victor Cerny was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Jared Binsfeld was 2 for 3.  Dayton Peters was 2 for 3 with a 2 run HR and Kaiden Cardoso rounded out the offense going 2 for 3 with an RBI.

The Jets now take on Bishop Gorman HS at 7 pm tomorrow at College of Southern Nevada in Henderson.

 

Jets open Gorman Desert Classic with a walk off!

 

Las Vegas, NV –

The Jets met up with a good club from La Jolla HS California.  The Jets scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th before La Jolla scored 2 in the 5th.  The scored was tied 2-2 in the 7th when an error, 2 bunt base hits followed by a walk off single from Liam Vulcano to win.

Ben Erwin started going 6 innings on 68 pitches allowing 5 hits, 2 runs with 1 BB and 3 K’s.  Adam Macko got the win going 1 clean inning.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano who was 1 for 4 with a walk off single.  Owen Harms was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Damiano Palmegiani was 1 for 3.  Victor Cerny was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Cooper Jones was 2 for 3 and Matt Rath was 1 for 2 to round off the offense.

The Jets now match up with Brighton HS out of Utah tomorrow at 12 noon Bishop Gorman HS.

Jets off to Vegas for the Bishop Gorman Desert Classic!

Vauxhall, AB

The Jets will be travelling to Las Vegas, NV Sunday to take part in the Bishop Gorman Desert Classic.  The Jets will practice Monday and Tuesday attend the UNLV – Utah Valley college game before opening up the tournament Wednesday.

Jets offense has a big day!

Vauxhall, AB – 

The VAB Jets found themselves down 2 early in the ball game but continued to add runs with the final score ending up 17-3 over the PBA JV team.

Connor Green started on the mound going 2 innings allowing 2 hits, 3 runs with 2 earned runs, 2 BB’s and 1 K.  Zach Newman threw 2 innings allowing 1 hit with 2 K’s. Chase Florendine threw 1 inning clean inning. Adam Macko finished things off pitching 1 inning allowing 1 hit with 2 K’s.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Owen Harms who was 1 for 2 with a 3 run HR.  Jared Binsfeld was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Brett Mercier was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Dayton Peters was 3 for 3 with 3 doubles.  Cooper Jones was 3 for 3 a 3 run HR.  Kaiden Cardoso was 1 for 5 with a 3 run HR and 5 RBI’s.

The Jets will travel to Las Vegas, NV Sunday to play in the Bishop Gorman HS Easter Classic.  

Jets finish the weekend with a couple of victories to win series!

Although short handed with several players away with the JNT in Florida and a couple of injuries the Jets managed to take both from the Dawgs to finish off the series 3-1.  We are proud of the boys effort and compete level with 4 games within 26 hours.

Game 1 saw the Jets win by a score of 8-3 and game 2 by a score of 9-7.  Game 1 saw Ben Erwin start on the mound going 3 2/3 innings allowing 2 hits with 3 BB’s and 7 K’s.  Chase Florendine threw 2 2/3 innings allowing 2 hits, 3 runs, 2 earned runs with 1 BB and 1 K.  Owen Harms finished things off going 2/3 of an inning allowing 1 hit with 1 K.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano who was 1 for 3.  Owen Harms was 2 for 2 with an RBI.  Jared Binsfeld was 1 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Cooper Jones was 1 for 3 with a double.  Kaiden Cardoso was 1 for 4 with a 2 run HR.  Matt Rath was 1 for 4 and Matt Gough rounded out the offense going 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.

Game 2 saw the Jets win by a score of 9-7.  Garrett Hawkings threw 4 1/3 innings allowing 7 hits, 3 runs with 1 BB and 3 K’s.  Thomas Little threw 1 2/3 innings allowing 4 hits,  runs with 2 K’s. Levi Abbott threw 1 inning allowing 1 BB.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano who was 1 for 2 with an inside the park HR.  Owen Harms was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Zach Newman was 1 for 2 with RBI.  Jared Binsfeld was 2 for 5 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Cooper Jones was 1 for 4.  Kaiden Cardoso was 1 for 4.  Matt Rath was 1 for 2.  Matt Rath was 1 for 3 and Ben Erwin rounded out the offense going 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.

The Jets may be playing this week before heading to Las Vegas, Nevada for the 11th year and the Bishop Gorman Classic.
