Jets come out on top vs Jr. Dino’s

Vauxhall, AB –

The Vauxhall Jets came out on top by a score of 6-2 in a low score affair.  Levi Abbott started on the mound going 3 IP allowing 3 hits, 1 run with 4 K’s and 2 BB’s.  Maddux Mateychuk threw 2 1/3 IP allowing 1 unearned runs with 2 BB’s and 4 K’s.  Carlin Dick finished things off going 1 2/3 IP allowing 1 hit with 1 K.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Jaxon Clemett who was 1 for 2.  Ty Wevers was 1 for 2.  Carlin Dick was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Aaron Vulcano was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s and Hunter Porter was 1 for 3 with an RBI.

The Jets now travel to Lethbridge for a 9 am DH vs PBA at Spitz Stadium.

Jets open with a solid victory over Team SK!

It started as a tight low scoring affair before the Jets opened it up winning by a score of 11-2.  Ben Adams started on the mound going 3 IP allowing 1 hit with 2 K’s and 2 BB’s.  Jack Mount went 2 IP allowing 3 BB’s with 2 K’s.  Anson McGorman threw 1 IP allowing 2 hits, 2 unearned runs.  Nick Backstrom finished things off going 1 IP allowing 1 hit, 0 runs with 1 BB and 1 K.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Logan Domanski who was 3 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Kalem Haney was 1 for 4.  Max Grant was 2 for 3.  Ty Wevers was 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI.  Carlin Dick was 1 for 4 with 3 RBI’s.  Jackson Clemett was 1 for 3 with an RBI to round out the offense.

The Jets now match up with the Calgary Jr. Dino’s at 10 am – Jets Stadium.

Couple tight losses to finish off a great fall weekend!

Lethbridge, AB – 

The Vauxhall lost a couple of closes games both by a score of 3-2  on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Lethbridge at Spitz Stadium (home of the Lethbridge Bulls).

Game 1 saw Maddux Mateychuk start on the mound going 3 IP allowing 3 hits, 2 runs, 0 earned runs, 3 BB’s and 4 K’s.  Shaye McTavish threw 2 IP allowing 1 hit, 0 runs with 2 K’s.  Nick Backstrom threw 1 IP allowing 2 hits, 1 run with 1 K.  Offensively the Jets were led by Jackson Clemett who was 1 for 3 and Hunter Porter was 1 for 1 to round out a quiet day at the plate against some good PBA arms.

Game 2 saw Jets fell again by a score of 3-2.  Reece Keller started on the mound going 2 IP allowing 2 hits, 3 runs with 3 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Levi Abbott threw 3 IP allowing 1 hit with 2 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Jackson Clemett finished things off going 1 IP allowing 2 hits, 0 runs with 2 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Logan Domanski who was 1 for 3.  Max Grant was 1 for 3 with a triple.  Nick Gravel was 2 for 3 and Josh Clark was 2 for 2.

The Jets will travel home and take on Team SK Friday night at 6 pm at Jets Stadium in the opener of the 2nd Annual Keith Jorgenson Tournament.

 

Solid day on a beautiful Saturday in Lethbridge!

Lethbridge, AB – 

It was a beautiful day for a DH at Lloyd Nolan Yard in Lethbridge.  The Jets came out on top by a score of 7-1 in game 1 and tied 6-6 in game 2.

In Game 1 saw Ben Adams start on the mound going 3 IP allowing 1 hit with 1 BB and 6 K’s.  Justin Adamoski threw 2 IP allowing 3 hits, 1 run with 4 K’s.  Anson McGorman finished things off going 2 IP with 3 K’s and 1 BB.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Kalem Haney who was 1 for 4 with a double.  Carlin Dick was 2 for 3 with a triple, double and an RBI.  Max Grant was 2 for 4 with a double, triple and 3 RBI’s.  Ty Wevers was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Nick Gravel was 2 for 4.  Aaron Vulcano was 1 for 3.  Nick Backstrom was 1 for 3.  Mason Nordli was 1 for 3 to round out the offense.

Game 2 was back and forth ending in a 6-6 tie.  Tyler Boudreau started on the mound going 3 IP allowing 4 hits, 3 runs, 1 earned run with 8 K’s.  Hunter Porter threw 1 1/3 IP allowing 2 hits, 2 runs with 3 BB’s and 2 K’s.  Cole Alguire finished things off going 2 2/3 IP allowing 2 hits, 1 run with 2 BB’s and 2 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Carlin Dick who was 1 for 2.  Logan Domanski was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Max Grant was 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Aaron Vulcano was 2 for 3.  Kalem Haney was 1 for 3.  Josh Clark was 1 for 1 to round out the offense.

The Jets will play another DH tomorrow at 11 am at Spitz Stadium.

2019/2020 is underway!

Vauxhall, AB –

The annual Spirit Game between PBA and the Jets took place on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon at Jets Stadium.  The Vauxhall Elementary School, Middle School and High School attend the afternoon game.

Levi Abbott started on the mound going 2 solid innings allowing 1 hit with 1 BB and 2 K’s.  Reece Keller threw 2 innings allowing 1 hit with 1 BB and 2 K’s.  Justin Adamoski threw better than the box score going 1 1/3 innings allowing 3 hits, 4 runs with 2 BB’s and 2 K’s.  Ben Adams threw 1 2/3 IP allowing 3 hits with 1 and 2 K’s.  Maddux Mateychuk threw 1 inning allowing 1 hit, 1 run with 1 BB.  Tyler Boudreau finished things off going 1 IP allowing 1 run with 1 K.

The Jets with travel to Lethbridge to take on the Prairie Baseball Academy with a 1 pm DH @ Nolan on Saturday and 11 am DH @ Spitz on Sunday.

Jets finish the season off with a win over Lethbridge Bulls!

 

Lethbridge, AB –

It was the final game of the 2019 for the Vauxhall Jets and it ended the way it started with a victory.  This time it was the Lethbridge Bulls falling to the Jets by a score of 8-5.  The victory is a tremendous accomplishment for the Jets against a much older and experienced group.  Final record on the the season 35-5-2.  That stamped the record book as the greatest winning percentage in the 13th year history of the Jets.

Adam Macko started on the mound and in true Macko fashion was dominant.  Macko went 5 1/3 IP allowing 2 hits, 0 runs with 1 BB and 5 K’s to earn the victory.  Evan O’Toole threw 2 IP allowing 0 hits,  with 2 K’s.  Matt Wiggins threw an inning in relief allowing 5 runs and Ben Adams earned the save with 2 K’s.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Dayton Peters who was 3 for 5 with a double and RBI.  Shayne Campbell was 3 for 5 with 3 RBI’s.  Carlin Dick was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Ty Wevers was 1 for 3.  Josh Malainey was 1 for 4.  Nick Gravel was 1 for 3 and Logan Domanski was 1 for 2 to round out the offense.

Jets continue winning ways with a 8-0 victory!

Missoula, MT – 

It was another game where the Jets offense was ready to roll and pitching was dominant.  Ben Adams started on the mound going 3 IP allowing 1 hit, 2 BB’s and 4 K’s.  Matt Wiggins threw 1 IP allowing 1 hit with 1 K.  Justin Adamoski threw 1 IP allowing 1 hit with 1 K.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Carlin Dick who was 3 for 4 with 3 RBI’s.  Max Grant was 2 for 2.  Nick Gravel was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Evan O’Toole was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Logan Grant was 2 for 2.  John Vulcano rounded out the offense going 1 for 4.

The Jets will finish off the round robin vs Coeur d alene Idaho at 12:30pm.  The finals are scheduled for 6 pm if the Jets make the final.

Jets make a statement in game 1 vs Missoula!

Missoula, MT – 

After a long travel day the Jets came out and made a statement winning 12-0.  We played as complete a game as we have all year.  It started on the mound with Adam Macko absolutely dominant going 4 IP allowing 1 hit with 0 BB’s and 12 K’s.  Yes 12 K’s.  Evan O’Toole finished things off going 1 IP with 2 K’s and was also electric.

Offensively, the Jets were explosive with Dayton Peters leading the way going 4 for 4 with a double and a HR with 4 RBI’s.  Max Grant was 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI.  Carlin Dick was 3 for 3 with a triple and 3 RBI’s.  Shayne Campbell was 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI’s.  Jackson Clemett was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  John Vulcano was 1 for 4.

The Jets will now take on Butte tomorrow at 1:30 pm at Maverick Stadium

Jets beat the Elks 5-3 in the 3rd game of the Haven!

Vauxhall, AB – 

It certainly took awhile for the Jets to get rolling scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th.  Final score Jets 5 Elks 3.

Ben Adams started on the mound going 3 IP allowing 5 hits, 2 runs with 3 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Chase Florendine earned the victory going 4 IP allowing 3 hits, 1 run with 8 K’s and 2 BB’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Logan Domanski who was 1 for 4.  Max Grant was 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI.  Jackson Clemett was 1 for 2 with a double.  Josh Malainey rounded out the offense going 2 for 2.

Game 2 saw the Jets win by a score of 11-2 over Medicine Hat.  Thomas Little started on the mound going 3 IP allowing 1 hit with 6 K’s and 1 BB.  Reece Keller threw 2 IP allowing 3 hits, 2 runs with 3 K’s and 1 BB.  Justin Adamoski threw 1 IP with 2 K’s.  Dayton Peters closed things our with 1 K over 1 IP.  Offensively, the Jets were led by John Vulcano who was 1 for 5 with a 3 run HR.  Carlin Dick was 2 for 3 with a double.  Dayton Peters was 3 for 4 with a HR and 2 RBI’s.  Shayne Campbell was 2 for 2.  Nick Gravel was 1 for 4 with 3 RBI’s.  Josh Malainey and Logan Grant also finished 1 for 2.

Next up for the Jets in the Missoula Mavericks Memorial Day Tournament.

 

Jets continue winning ways!

The rain certainly put a wrench into the scheduling at the 13th Annual Haven Tournament.  With all the rain and costs Great Falls and Calgary decided to drop out.

The Jets ended up playing the Medicine Hat Monarchs today winning by a score of 12-1.  Adam Macko was dominate on the mound going 4 IP allowing 2 hits with 10 K’s and 0 BB’s.  Maddux Mateychuk threw 1 inning of relief and Justin Adamoski was dominate in relief striking out 3 hitters.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Logan Domanski who was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Max Grant was 1 for 3 with a 2 run HR.  Shayne Campbell was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Carlin Dick was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  John Vulcano was 2 for 4 with a double.  Jackson Clemett was 2 for 2 with a double.  Josh Malainey was 1 for 1 with an RBI and Logan Grant was 1 for 2 with a double and 3 RBI’s.

Tomorrow will finish off the tournament with the Jets taking on Lethbridge at 10:30 am.  Lethbridge vs Medicine Hat at 1 pm and Jets vs Medicine Hat at 3:30 pm.
