Jets have a tough loss in semi in Vegas 9-7!

 

Las Vegas, NV – 

The VAB Jets were entering the semi final game vs Desert Oasis in good shape.  A sudden game time change put the club in a scramble leading up to the semi.  Several base running and defensive mistakes were to much to overcome falling 9-7 to a solid Desert Oasis club out of Nevada.

Jaden Griffen started on the mound going 3 2/3 innings allowing 6 hits, 6 runs, 6 unearned runs with 3 BB’s and 4 K’s.  Zach Newman threw 2 innings allowing 6 hits, 3 runs with 1 K.  Chase Florendine tossed a very solid 1 1/3 with 1 BB.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano who was 2 for 3.  Owen Harms was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Damiano Palmegiani was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Victor Cerny was 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI.  Cooper Jones was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s.  Jared Binsfeld was 1 for 3 with an RBI and Brett Mercier rounded out the offense going 1 for 2.

The Jets now travel to Kamloops for a 7 pm vs Badlands Academy Wednesday April 12th at Norbrock Stadium.
