Jets have a tough one and lose semi to Langley!

Kamloops, BC –

The Jets dropped the semi final game vs Langley Blaze by a score of 9-2.  It was a tough ball game with to many free passes.  On the mound Ben Adams started and battled through 3 innings allowing 0 hits, 3 runs, 2 earned runs with 5 BB’s and 5 K’s.  Chase Florendine threw 1 inning allowing 2 hits, 2 runs with 2 BB’s and 1 K.  Tyler Boudreau threw 1 1/3 innings allowing 4 hits, 3 runs, 2 earned runs.  Maddux Mateychuk finished things off going 1 2/3 innings allowing 1 hit, 1 run with 1 BB and 2 K’s.

Offensively, the Jets swung the bats well facing their 3rd Team Canada arm in a row.  John Vulcano was 2 for 4.  Carlin Dick was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Shayne Campbell was 1 for 3.  Max Grant was 1 for 3 with a double.  Dayton Peters was 1 for 3 with a double.  Josh Malainey was 1 for 3.  Nick Gravel was 1 for 3 to round out the offense.

The loss was a tough one overall but also ended a very successful 13 game road trip thru Las Vegas and Kamloops.  The final record between the 2 trips 9-2-1.

The Jets will travel back to Alberta and back again on the road next weekend vs Great Falls Chargers, Billings Scarlets and final at home Sunday.
