Jets finish off Missoula Memorial Tournament in dramatic fashion!

 

 

Missoula, MT – 

It was a special Championship Sunday in Missoula.  A match up with the Helena Senators with the winner advancing to the finals vs Bozeman. The game was 1-0 entering the 5th inning when the Jets exploded for 10 runs finishing the game off.  Levi Abbott started on the mound going 5 innings (48 pitches/38 strikes) allowing 0 hit, 0 run, 0 BB’s, 0 errors with 8 K’s.  PERFECT GAME!  This the first Jets perfect game in 12 years.  A tremendous feat by Levi, catcher Shayne Campbell and the entire defense.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Owen Harms who was 3 for 3 with a triple and an RBI.  Ty Penner was 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI’s.  Shayne Campbell was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  John Vulcano was 2 for 4 with an RBI.  Cooper Jones was 1 for 3 with an RBI and Evan O’Toole was 2 for 4 to round out a very balanced offense.

Entering the finals vs Bozeman Bucks the Jets ran out Adam Macko who went 6 very good innings allowing 2 hits with 6 K’s and 2 BB’s.  Josh Tardif finished things off going 1 inning allowing 1 hit with 1 BB and 1 K.  Offensively, the attack was well spread out again with Liam Vulcano going 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Ty Penner was 1 for 4.  Kaiden Cardoso was 2 for 4.  Shayne Campbell was 1 for 2 with an RBI.  John Vulcano was 2 for 2 with an RBI.  Cooper Jones rounded out the offense going 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI.

The Championship was the 1st for the Jets at the Missoula Memorial Day Tournament in 3 attempts.

Our attention now turns to a special game with the Annual TCMM game vs the Bulls Wednesday at 7 pm Spitz Stadium.
