Jets Fall to O’Gorman 10-9

Las Vegas-

The Jets opened up the Bishop Gorman Easter Classic with a 10-9 loss this afternoon to O’Gorman High School from Sioux Falls, SD. The game featured excitement early and often right until the last out that was made with the bases loaded and two out already. The Jets continued their trend of struggling with command of the strike zone and it hurt them. They allowed 10 runs on 8 hits but the problem today was 9 walks and 1 hit batsmen piled on top of numerous passed balls. Both sides had the same problem as O’Gorman walked 9 and hit 2 batters but when crunch time came, O’Gorman pieced together the runs needed to win. The Jets offense only would manage to score runs in two innings – an outburst for 7 runs in the 2nd inning and 2 more in the 5th.  Outside of that the Jets were kept quiet. Full stats below.

Next Jets action is tomorrow morning at 8am against Riverton High School out of Utah. The game will be held at Bishop Gorman High School. Now that Twitter is back online, check it out for lineups and in-game updates nice and early tomorrow @VABjets.
