The Jets won both game of their double header today vs Baseball Northwest Juniors by scores of 13-12 and 9-2.

Game 1 saw Cole Stober start and get the no decision going 4 innings allowing 3 hits, 3 BB’s, 7 K’s, 3 runs with only 2 earned.  Jamin Heller threw the next 2 1/3 innings allowing 5 hits, 4 BB’s, 0 K’s and 8 earned runs.  Taylor Simmonds earned the victory in relief going the final 2/3 of a inning allowing 1 hit, 2 BB’s, 2 K’s with 1 run.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Kym Barthel who was 2 for 2 with a HR, 3 RBI’s, 3 BB’s and 3 runs scored.  Adam Nelubowich was 2 for 5 with a triple and 3 RBI’s.  Josh Stephenson was 2 for 3.  Tyler Hayes, Shane Zimmer, Mike Washburn, Steven Inch and Victor Caruso all had 1 hit a piece. 

Game 2 saw the Jets win by a score of 9-2.  Taylor Simmonds earned the victory on the mound going 3 innings, allowing 0 hits, 2 BB’s, with 7 K’s.  Victor Caruso went 3 innings, allowing 3 hits, 0 BB’s, 3 K’s, and 2 earned runs.  Tyson Denham threw the final inning allowing 1 hit, 2 BB’s, and 0 runs.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Kym Barthel who was 2 for 5 with 1 RBI, Adam Nelubowich was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI, Jordan Wong was 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored and Brant Hittel was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored.  Tyler Hayes, Shane Zimmer, Jamin Heller, Tyler Vavra, and Ben Dartnell all had 1 hit each.

The wins pushes the Jets record to 12-2-1.  Next action is tomorrow at WSU’s field at 11 am (DH) vs Baseball Northwest Seniors.

The VAB Jets finished off a sucessful weekend against Team SK with a 8-4 win today.  On the mound Cole Stober started and went 5 innings allowing 4 hits, 2 runs, 1 unearned, 2 BB’s, and 5 K’s.  Jamin Heller threw 2 innings, allowing 1 hit, 1 run, 2 BB’s and 2 K’s.  Austin Cooper closed things out going 2 innings, allowing 1 hit, 1 unearned run, 0 BB’s, and 2 K’s. Offensively, the Jets were led by Jamin Heller who was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored, Adam Nelubowich who was 2 for 5 with an RBI and 2 runs scored, Josh Stephenson who was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI’s, and Tyson Denham who was 3 for 5.  Austin COoper, Victor Caruso, Tyler Vavra, and Tyler Hayes all had a hit a piece. 

THe Jets record is now 10-2-1 and next action is next weekend in Pullman, WA against Baseball Northwest.

Vauxhall, AB –

The Jets won both games of a DH vs Team SK by scores of 3-0 and 4-3.  On the mound in Game 1 Steven Inch was dominate going 6 innings allowing 2 hits 0 runs, 1 BB, and 8 K’s.  Brandon Petite earned the save going 1 inning allowing no hits, 0 runs and 1 K.

Offensively, the Jets managed only 4 hits with Tyler Hayes going 1 for 3, Josh Stephenson going 1 for 3 with a run scored, Jordan Wong going 1 for 2 with an RBI double and a run scored, and Austin Cooper going 1 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Game 2 saw Jordan Wong start on the mound going 6 innings allowing 5 hits, 0 runs, 4 BB’s and 9 K’s.  Tyson Denham went 1 inning allowing 5 hits, 3 runs, 0 BB’s and 1 K.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Tyler Hayes who was 1 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI, Jamin Heller who was 2 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI, Tyler Vavra was 1 for 4 with a big RBI double and Cole Stober was 1 for 2.

Lethbridge, AB –

The Jets lost their first game of the fall giving up 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to loose 7-5 to the Prairie Baseball Academy. 

Offensively, the Jets were led by Josh Stephenson who was 3 for 3 with an RBI, Adam Nelubowich was 2 for 5 with a run scored, Brandt Hittel was 1 for 2, Tysen Denham was 1 for 3 with a run scored and Mike Washburn was 1 for 3 with a run scored.

On the mound Austin Cooper started and went 4 innings allowing 6 hits, 3 runs with 0 BB’s and 1 K.  Cole Stober threw 2 2/3 innings in relief allowing 2 hits, 1 run, 2 BB’s, and 3 K’s.  Taylor Simmonds threw 2/3 of an inning allowing 1 hit, 2 runs, 1 earned run, 0 BB’s, and 1 K to take the loss and Steven Inch threw the final 2/3 of an inning allowing 1 hit, 1 run, 1 BB, and 0 K’s. 

THe loss pushed the Jets record to 7-1-1 and the next action is Friday night in Vauxhall vs Team SK at 7 pm.
