Jets host Haven Agencies Tournament May long weekend!
Vauxhall, AB –
Since 2006 Haven Agencies has been the title sponsor the Annual Haven Agencies Tournament at Jets Stadium over the May long weekend. The 2022 version has teams travelling from Chilliwack, BC, Abbotsford, BC, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat & Calgary. The tournament kicks off Thursday night with a Medicine Hat vs Jets match up at 7 pm. The tournament continues throughout the weekend with the final game Sunday night. See below for a copy of the schedule.
Graduation weekend results in 4-0 record!
Vauxhall, AB –
It was a beautiful weekend for baseball with blue skies and very little wind as the Jets took on the Calgary Bucks and Badlands Academy with a pair of doubleheaders. It was a special weekend with 12 players getting their high school diploma’s on Friday. The Jets came out swinging the bats on Saturday and continued with their second no hitter of the weekend on Sunday.

Jets go 5-1 to win PBA Tournament!
Lethbridge, AB –
The tournament was certainly spread out over 4 days and 6 games to win the Championship on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Spitz Stadium. The Jets opened the tournament with wins over the Lethbridge Longhorns & Webber Academy on Thursday before spliting on Friday vs Regina & Saskatoon. With a 3-1 round robin record set up a semi final match up with Regina. The Jets got out to a commanding 11-1 lead before finishing with a 12-8 victory to advance to the final vs Homerun Academy out of Winnipeg. The Jets came out early in the final taking advantage of several walks scoring 6 runs in the 2nd inning and cruising to a 13-3 victory to win the Championship. Spring trip was an overall success!

The Vauxhall Academy has been making an annual trip to Las Vegas, Nevada since 2006 and this one was extra special after the last couple of years. The trip ended with an overall 4-3 record (2 games snowed out to finish the trip) as well as college experiences at the College of Southern Idaho, College of Southern Nevada and the University of Utah. The trip consisted of playing teams from Idaho, Utah, Missouri, California, Nevada & Illinois. Jets got better on this trip. Below is box scores from all 7 games.

Jets have a successful weekend in Lethbridge 3-0!
Lethbridge, AB –
It was a beautiful couple of days for baseball at Lloyd Nolan in Lethbridge. Game 1 saw a match up with PBA JV on Friday. The Jets opened a very convincing early lead cruising to a 21-11 final score.

Saturday was a another great day at Lloyd Nolan Yard. The morning game vs PBA JV was 1-0 Jets late in the game before the Jets score 4 runs to win by a final score of 5-1.

Final game of the weekend was a match up with the Badlands Academy. The Jets scored early runs and just about every inning finishing with a 22-2 final score for the Jets.

The snow has finally went away and the Jets officially kicked off our spring season. Final score Jets 28 PBA JV 1. The Jets ran out 9 pitchers to the mound who all threw well scattering only 4 hit in total. PBA JV issued several free passes to the Jets eventually capitalizing on the mistakes with several extra base hits. The Jets finished the fall off in Calgary on a beautiful fall weekend with 3 games.
Game 1 Jets 18 Bucks 1. Matt MacKenzie started on the mound going 4 IP allowing 2 hits with 6 K’s. Mason DeRuyck threw 3 IP allowing 3 hits with 1 run and 4 K’s. Karter Andersen threw the final 2 innings without allowing a hit. Offensively, the Jets had a big day with Demitri Shakotko who was 4 for 7 with 3 – 2B’s and 2 RBI’s. Kyle Yip went 4 for 7 with a triple and an RBI. Cardel Dick was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s. Eric Reiling was 1 for 3 with an RBI. Kayden Hleucka was 2 for 4 with an RBI. The Jets finished up the fall with a 18-5-2 record. The annual 100 Marathon Game is Saturday Oct. 23 to finish up the fall season.
