Jets get back on track vs Abbotsford Cardinals!

Vauxhall, AB –

The stands were packed for an unusual mid-afternoon Thursday tilt as the visiting Abbotsford Cardinals dug in against a tough group of arms on the hill for the Jets.  The Jets came out victorious with an 8-1 victory on a beautiful Thursday afternoon.  The Jets pitching staff was led by starter Wesley Moore who pitched 4 strong innings against the Cardinals hitters, allowing only 1 run on 4 hits with 8 Ks and 1 BB. The Cards hitters did not fair any better against a solid Jets bullpen.  Chase Florendine followed allowing no runs on no hits with 1 K; Garrett Nicholson allowed no runs on 1 hit with 1 BB; and Connor Green allowed no runs on 1 hit and 2 BBs.

Offensively, the Jets scattered the hits throughout the lineup with 8 different Jets each getting a hit.  Both Owen Harms and Brett Mercier had a double which each allowed 2 Jets to cross the plate. Damiano Palmigiani, Dayton Peters and Victor Cerny also had doubles. Liam Vulcano, Cooper Jones, Matt Rath all had singles rounding out the offense.
The Jets next games are Saturday when the visiting Great Falls Chargers come to Jets Stadium for 2 games against the Jets. 12 noon DH.
Congrats to all the Vauxhall HS grads.  Great things ahead for all of you.
