Jets take 2 in Missoula to stay alive!

Missoula, MT –

The Jets came out ready to play against the CSA Lumberman.  It started on the mound with Adam Macko getting the starting going a complete game going 7 innings allowing 3 hits with 3 BB’s and 14 K’s on 96 pitches.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Liam Vulcano who was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Brett Mercier was 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI.  Ty Penner was 1 for 3 with a solo HR.  Owen Harms was 1 for 3 and Matt Rath rounded out the offense going 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.

Game 2 saw the Jets score 5 runs in the 1st inning and 2 runs in the 2nd cruising to an 8-2 victory.  Ben Erwin was also dominant on the mound going a complete game going 7 innings allowing 6 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run with 2 BB’s and 7 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets had 8 players contribute with base hits.  Liam Vulcano was 1 for 4.  Jared Binsfeld was 2 for 4.  Brett Mercier was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.  Cooper Jones was 2 for 4 with a double and a triple and an RBI.  Dayton Peters was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Ty Penner was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  Kaiden Cardoso was 1 for 3 and Matt Rath was 1 for 3 to round out the offense.

The Jets now play tomorrow at 12:30 pm vs Helena.
