Jets continue winning ways with 2 solid wins in Great Falls!

Great Falls, Montana – 

Game 1 saw the Jets fall behind early before chipping away and scoring late to beat the Great Falls Chargers 8-5.  The Jets finished the game with 8 – 0’s on the mound.  Chase Florendine started on the mound going 2 innings allowing 5 hits, 5 runs with 3 BB’s and 2 K’s.  Zach Newman threw 4 innings allowing 3 hits with 4 K’s.  Ben Erwin threw the final 3 innings earning the victory allowing 0 hits with 5 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Owen Harms who was 2 for 4 with a double.  Jared Binsfeld was 1 for 4.  Cooper Jones was 1 for 4.  Dayton Peters was 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Brett Mercier was 2 for 4 with a bases clearing triple.  Ty Penner was 2 for 5 with an RBI and Matt Gough was 1 for 5 to round out the offense.

Game 2 vs Missoula Mavericks was tight until the 6th when the Jets broke it open.  Adam Macko started on the mound going 3 innings allowing 6 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run with 1 BB and 5 K’s.  Connor Green threw 2 innings allowing 0 hits with 1 BB and 3 K’s.  Garrett Hawkings threw the final 2 innings allowing 1 hit with 2 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Brett Mercier who was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Jared Binsfeld was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Dayton Peters was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Cooper Jones was 1 for 3.  Ty Penner was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Kaiden Cardoso was 1 for 3 to round out the offense.
