Jets split on a beautiful fall day in Lethbridge!

Lethbridge, AB – 

Game 1 was a low scoring affair until the 6th inning with the Jets holding onto a 1-0 lead PBA score 2 runs before the Jets responded with 8 runs in the top of the 7th to win by a score of 9-5.  Game 2 was a back and forth affair before the Jets fell to PBA 7-6.  Overall, a solid weekend especially with so many bodies away with the JNT in Florida.

Game 1 saw Ben Erwin start on the mound going 5 innings allowing 2 hits with 1 BB and 6 K’s.  Chase Florendine earned the victory going 2 innings allowing 5 hits, 5 runs with 3 BB’s and 1 K.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Matt Rath who was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  Owen Harms was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Liam Vulcano was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Brett Mercier was 1 for 4.  Jared Binsfeld was 1 for 1 with an RBI and 3 BB’s.  Kaiden Cardoso was 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Ben Erwin was 1 for 4 and Matt Gough was 1 for 2 to round out the 10 hit attack.

Game 2 was a seesaw battle going back and forth before the Jets fell 7-6.  Zach Newman started going 3 innings allowing 4 hits, 3 runs with 1 BB.  Owen Harms threw 2 innings allowing 3 hits, 2 runs with 1 BB.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Matt Rath who was 1 for 3.  Brett Mercier was 1 for 3 with a double with an RBI.  Liam Vulcano was 1 for 3.  Kaiden Cardoso was 2 for 3 with a double with an RBI.  Jared Binsfeld was 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Owen Harms was 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI.  Cooper Jones rounded out offense going 1 for 3.

The Jets will now meet up with ABA for a home/home on Thanksgiving weekend.
