Jets lose 2 to PBA on a misty day in Lethbridge!

Lethbridge, AB – 

A short handed Jets club played solid baseball for 12 out of 14 inning falling to PBA 5-3 and 10-3 on an overcast Saturday in Lethbridge.

Garrett Hawkings started on the mound going 4 1/3 innings allowing 4 hits, 3 runs, 3 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Kaiden Cardoso threw 1 2/3 innings allowing 2 hits, 2 runs, 2 BB’s with 0 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Brett Mercier who was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Liam Vulcano was 1 for 3 with a double.  Matt Rath also finished 1 for 4 to round out the Jets offense.

Game 2 saw the Jets fall behind early and couldn’t claw back into the game.  Adam Macko started on the mound going 2 2/3 innings allowing 4 hits, 8 runs with 5 BB’s and 4 K’s. Cooper Jones finished things off going 3 1/3 innings allowing 3 hits, 2 runs with 3 BB’s and 2 K’s. Offensively, the Jets were led by Brett Mercier again going 2 for 3.  Liam Vulcano was 1 for 3 and Kaiden Cardoso was 1 for 3 to round out the offense in game 2.

The Jets will meet PBA again tomorrow at 11 am (DH).
