Tough 6th inning costs the Jets a chance at a 4 peat!

Okotoks, AB –

The Jets and Dawgs met up again in a back and forth ballgame.  The Jets took a 1 – 0 lead in the top of the 4th before the Dawgs answered with 1 in the bottom of the 5th.  In the top of the 6th the Jets had runners on 1st and 2nd with no one out and attempted bunt was popped up and a diving play by the Dawgs pitcher and a throw to 2nd base turned into a double play.  The Dawgs answered in the bottom of the 6th with 3 unearned runs that the Jets couldn’t recover from.

Josh Burgmann went the distance on the mound allowing 6 hits, 4 runs, 1 earned run with 6 K’s and 0 BB’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Brett Resch who was 2 for 3.  Zack Kunkel was 1 for 3.  Jordan Malainey was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI and Luxon Glor rounded out the offense going 1 for 2.

The Jets will host the 9th Annual Haven Agencies Tournament starting Thursday night vs Lethbridge Elks.
