Jets run out of gas in the semi-final in Vegas!

Las Vegas, NV – 

The Jets had a good run over a 2 week period but ended up running out of gas against the Okotoks Dawgs in the semi final of the Bishop Gorman tournament.  A combination of some injuries, fatigue and a good Dawgs club combined for an 18-8 final.  The Jets fell behind 9-0 after 2 innings and couldn’t recover.

Reilly O’Rourke started on the mound going 1 inning allowing 6 hits, 6 runs with 1 BB and 2 K’s.  Carsen Perkins threw the following inning allowing 2 hits, 3 runs with 2 K’s.  Jalen Lane was solid in the middle going 3 innings allowing 2 hits, 2 unearned runs with 1 BB and 2 K’s.  KJ Moreno threw an inning allowing 1 hit, 2 unearned runs with 1 K.  Brody Burnett threw the final inning allowing 5 hits, 5 runs with 2 BB’s and 1 K.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Tyler Scott who was 1 for 4.  Zack Kunkel was 1 for 3 with a triple and an RBI.  Brett Resch was 1 for 4.  Ben Komonosky was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Jordan Malainey was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Sean Robbins was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  Geordie McDougal was 1 for 3 and Luxon Glor was 1 for 3 with an RBI.

The Jets ended an 11 day road trip successfully going 7-2 overall winning the Best of the West and finishing 3rd in Las Vegas.  The Jets will open up their home schedule this weekend vs PBA JV.
