Jets open season #9 with 2 victories!

Lethbridge, AB – The VAB Jets opened the fall season with a couple of strong performances.  Game 1 saw the Jets beat PBA by a score of 10-5.  Josh Burgmann started on the mound going 2 2/3 innings allowing 2 hits, 2 runs with 2 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Branden Hately earned the victory going 2 1/3 innings allowing 2 hits 1 run with 1 BB and 1 K.  Bryce Fraser finished things off going 2 innings allowing 4 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run, with 2 BB’s and 2 K’s. Offensively, the Jets were led by Nolan Rattai who was 2 for 4.  Tyler Scott was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s and 3 SB’s.  Jordan Dray was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Ben Komonosky was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  Zach Kunkel was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Jordan Malainey was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Brett Resch was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Sean Robbins rounded out the offense going 2 for 4 with a HR and a double. Game 2 saw the Jets come out on top by a score of 10-3.  Brady Moxham started on the mound going 3 innings allowing 2 BB’s with 4 K’s while earning the victory.  Jake Cook threw 2 innings allowing 2 hits, 1 run with 3 K’s.  Carsen Perkins finished things off going 2 innings allowing 2 hits, with BB’s and a K. Offensively, the Jets were led by Nolan Rattai who was 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI.  Jordan Dray was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Blake Gallagher was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  Sean Robbins rounded out the offense going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI’s. Next action for the Jets is a DH tomorrow at Lloyd Nolan Yard in Lethbridge 12:30 pm vs St. Fx and 3 pm vs PBA.
