Jets take care of the Monarchs!

After working on the field for over 6 hours the Jets got the field ready to play and came out on top 13-4 in a full 9 inning game.

Ben Onyshko started on the mound going 2 innings striking out 6 Monarchs and earning the victory.  Brady Moxham threw the following 2 innings allowing 3 hits, 2 runs with 2 K’s.  Jared Kennedy threw 1 inning allowing 2 runs with 5 BB’s and 1 K.  Jesse Borden threw 3 innings allowing 1 hit, 2 BB’s with 2 K’s and Jake Cook closed things out throwing 1 inning with 2 K’s.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Joel Mazurkewich who was 2 for 4.  Nolan Rattai was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI’s.  Nolan Bumstead was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Brett Harrison was 2 for 6 with a 3 run HR and 4 RBI’s.  Wyatt Schlosser was 2 for 4 with a double.  Jay Oram was 1 for 2.  Tyler Scott was 3 for 5 with 3 RBI’s and Mike Holmes rounded out the offense going 1 for 1 with a double.

The Jets used timely pitching and hitting in game 1 to win by a score of 5-3 and game 2 strong pitching and a strong offense lead the Jets to a 10-3 victory.

Game 1 saw Josh Burgmann started going 5 innings allowing 2 hits, 1 run with 6 BB’s and 6 K’s.  Brody Burnett finished things off for the save going 2 innings allowing 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run with 3 BB’s and 1 K.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Brayden Resch who was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Treyton Grant was 1 for 3.  Wyatt Schlosser was 1 for 2 with a 2 run HR.  Alex Bishop was 1 for 3, Chris Thomas was 1 for 2 and Jay Oram was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and an RBI.

Game 2 saw Reilly O’Rourke start on the mound going 5 innings allowing 5 hits, 3 runs, 2 earned runs with 1 BB and 1 K.  Jake Cook was solid in relief going 2 innings allowing 2 hits with 2 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Joel Mazurkewich who was 1 for 3.  Nolan Rattai was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Brayden Resch was 2 for 4 with a double and a HR and 2 RBI’s.  Wyatt Schlosser was 3 for 4.  Alex Bishop was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI’s.  Mike Holmes was 1 for 2 and Jay Oram rounded out the offense going 1 for 2 with an RBI.

Jets take 2 games from the Dawgs to open at home!

The Jets came out ready to play in game 1 and it continued for the entire day.  Game 1 saw the Jets win by a score of 5-1 and won game 2 11-6.

Jesse Borden started on the mound going 5 2/3 innings allowing 5 hits, 1 run with 2 BB’s and 6 K’s.  Jared Kennedy closed things out earning a save going 1 1/3 innings allowing 2 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Ty Scott who was 3 for 4.  Joel Mazurkewich was 1 for 4.  Brayden Resch was 2 for 2 with a double and an RBI.  Trey Grant was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Nolan Rattai rounded out the offense going 1 for 1 with a double and 2 RBI’s.

The Jets will square off again tomorrow on Easter Sunday with a 1 pm DH vs Dawgs.

Jets finish Vegas off with a strong performance!

The Jets finished off the Las Vegas trip with a strong performance against a good Riverton HS club winning 6-1.

Josh Burgmann started on the mound going 4 innings allowing 6 hits, 1 run, 1 BB with 7 K’s.  Jake Cook threw 2 1/3 innings in relief allowing 2 hits with 1 BB.  Brody Burnett finished things off throwing 2/3 of an inning allowing 1 hit.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Wyatt Schlosser who was 1 for 4.  Brayden Resch was 2 for 2 with an RBI.  Brett Harrison was 1 for 1 with an RBI double.  Treyton Grant was 1 for 2.  Joel Mazurkewich was 1 for 2 with an RBI double.  Alex Bishop was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Cole Schneider and Mike Holmes rounded out the offense both going 1 for 3.

Next action for the Jets is Saturday and Sunday with DH’s vs PBA JV at Jets Stadium.

Jets bats come alive in 11-3 victory over Page HS, Arizona!

Las Vegas, NV

The Jets came out swinging the bats and a strong start by Jesse Borden was the difference in a lopsided victory.  Jesse Borden started on the mound going 4 innings allowing 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run with 0 BB’s and 7 K’s.  Jared Kennedy threw 1 2/3 innings in relief allowing 0 hits, 1 run with 2 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Brody Burnett threw the final 1 1/3 innings allowing 1 hit to close out the game.

Offensively, the Jets pounded out 13 hits in total.  Tyler Scott was 2 for 4 with an RBI.  Wyatt Schlosser was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Nolan Rattai was 2 for 4 with an RBI.  Trey Grant was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Brett Harrison was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Joel Mazurkewich was 2 for 4 with a triple.  Mike Holmes was 1 for 3 with an RBI and Jay Oram was 1 for 2.

The Jets will play Saturday before flying home to open up Jets Stadium.

Defense and timely hitting costs the Jets vs Blessed Trinity, Georgia

Las Vegas, NV

The Jets came  out flat and couldn’t recover against a solid club from Georgia.  Final score 6-1.

Brady Moxham started on the mound going 3 2/3 innings allowing 6 hits, 5 runs, 2 earned runs with 1 BB and 4 K’s.  Reily O’Rourke finished things off going 2 1/3 innings allowing 3 hit, 1 run, 0 earned runs with 2 BB’s and 2 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Treyton Grant who was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles.  Nolan Rattai was 2 for 3.  Alex Bishop was 1 for 3.  Jay Oram rounded out the offense going 3 for 3.

Jets split to open Bishop Gorman Tournament!

Las Vegas, NV

It was a beautiful 33 degree day in Vegas to open the Bishop Gorman Easter Classic.  Game 1 saw the Jets open the tournament vs North Shore Twins winning by a score of 3-2.

JP Stevenson started on the mound going 6 innings on 65 pitches allowing 5 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run with 1 BB and 2 K’s.  Josh Burgemann closed things out earning the save throwing 1 inning with 1 K.  Offensively, the Jets stranded 12 runners in scoring position throughout the final 5 innings.  Wyatt Schlosser was 1 for 3.  Nolan Rattai was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  Nolan Bumstead was 2 for 3 with a triple and an RBI.  Brayden Resch was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.  Trey Grant was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Tyler Scott rounded out the offense going 1 for 3.

Game 2 saw the Jets take on National Powerhouse Bishop Gorman HS losing 11-1.  The score was 3-1 in the 5th inning before Gorman exploded for 5 runs to shorten the game .  Ben Onyshko started on the mound throwing 4 great innings allowing 7 hits, 6 runs, 5 earned runs with 1 BB and 5 K’s.  Nolan Bumstead threw 2/3 of an inning allowing 3 hits, 5 unearned runs with 1 BB and 2 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Nolan Rattai who was 1 for 3.  Brayden Resch was 2 for 3 with a double and 1 RBI to round out the offense.

Jets can’t hold onto a lead in 8-7 loss!

Kamloops, BC –

The Jets found themselves down early then took a 7-4 lead into the 6th but couldn’t hang on losing 8-7 to the Edmonton Prospects.

Jesse Borden got the start on the mound going 5 innings allowing 7 hits, 4 runs, 2 BB’s and 5 K’s.  Reily O’Rouke took the loss going 2 innings allowing 6 hits 4 runs with only 2 earned.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Treyton Grants who was 1 for 4, Nolan Bumstead was 1 for 2 with a double, Brayden Resch was 2 for 4 with a double, Brett Harrison was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s, Nolan Rattai was 1 for 2 with an RBI to round out the the offense.

The Jets will now play Victoria at 12:30 pm before travelling to Las Vegas.

Jets get on track with 8-3 win over Victoria!

The Jets found themselves down after the top of the 1st inning 3-0 before scoring 8 unanswered to finish Victoria off by a score of 8-3.

JP Stevenson started going 5 inning allowing 4 hits, 3 runs, 1 earned run with 1 BB and 5 K’s to earn the win.  Nolan Bumstead finished the game off with 2 great innings allowing 0 hits, 0 BB’s with 4 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Bumstead again going 3 for 3 with a single, double and triple.  Treyton Grant was 1 for 4.  Brayden Resch was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.  Cole Schneider was 1 for 1 with 2 RBI’s.  Wyatt Schlosser was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Alex Bishop was 2 for 3 and Jay Oram rounded out the offense going 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.

Jets open BOW on a tough note!

The 2nd day of the spring season outside was not exactly what the Jets hoped for losing both games.

Game 1 saw the Jets lose to the Okanagan A’s by a score of 7-2.  Brady Moxham started on the mound going 4 innings allowing 2 hits, 5 runs, 4 earned runs with 4 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Brody Burnett finished things off going 3 innings allowing 4 hits, 2 runs with 2 K’s.  The offense was a little rusty collecting only 6 hits total.  Joel Mazurkewich was 1 for 3, Nolan Rattai was 1 for 4, Brayden Resch was 1 for 3, Brett Harrison was 1 for 3, Wyatt Schlosser was 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s and Chris Thomas was 1 for 3 rounded out the offense.

Game 2 saw a couple of costly errors lead to a 5 run lead for Langley in a 0-0 game leading to an 11-3 loss.  Ben Onyshko started going 2 2/3 inning allowing 1 hit, 5 unearned runs with 4 BB’s and 5 K’s.  Josh Burgemann threw 2 1/3 in relief allowing 5 hits, 2 earned runs with 2 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Brayden Resch who was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Treyton Grant was 1 for 2 with an RBI.  Nolan Bumstead was 1 for 2 with a double.
