Jets’ Spring Season is Underway

Lethbridge, AB – 

The 2014  Jets spring season is underway.  The Jets squared off in a double header in Lethbridge vs. PBA.

Game 1’s loss saw Jesse Borden start on the mound going 1.2 innings allowing 4 hits, 4 runs with 2 K’s. Jared Kennedy threw 2.1 strong innings allowing 1 run with 4 K’s. Reilly O’Rourke followed by going 2 innings allowing 4 hits, 1 run with 2 K’s and a BB. Offensively, Game 1 was led by Treyton Grant who was 3 for 3 with three singles, and 2 runs.  Brayden Resch was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Brett Harrison was 1 for 3 with a double.  Joel Mazurkewich rounded out the offense with a single and 2 runs.

Game two’s win featured Josh Burgmann, throwing 3 strong innings allowing 2 runs on only 2 hits and 1 BB to go along with 3 K’s. Jake Cook followed by throwing a single inning allowing no hits. Next was Brody Burnett throwing a scoreless inning adding 1K. To close out the game Brady Moxham threw 2 innings with 3K’s and 1BB . The offense was led by Brett Harrison who added to his day by going 3 for 4 hitting a double and 2 rbi’s. Brayden Resch and Treyton Grant also added a double each going 2 for 5 and 2-4 respectively. Rounding off the offense was Joel Mazurkewich, Ty Scott and Alex Bishop – each getting one hit to add to the win.

Final score in Game 1 was 9-4 for PBA and Game 2 was 12-2 for the Jets giving the Jets a 1-1 record to begin the spring season.

Next action is a weekend series vs Prospects Academy at Jets Stadium on the weekend of March 22nd.
