Pair of walk off HR’s allows Jets to sweep the Prospects!

Vauxhall, AB –

The Jets won 2 games dramatic fashion.  Treyton Grant hit a walk off HR in extra innings to win game 1.  In game 2 the Jets were down 5-1 in the 7th when Nolan Bumstead hit a 2 run HR in the bottom of the 7th to win game 2.

Game 1 saw Ben Onyshko get the start going 4 innings allowing 5 hits, 4 runs with 2 BB’s and & 7 K’s.  Jake Cook threw 2 1/3 innings allowing 3 hit, 3 runs with 2 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Nolan Bumstead earned the victory going 1 1/3 innings with 3 K’.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Brayden Resch who was 1 for 2 with an RBI.  Treyton Grant was 2 for 4 with a walk off HR.  Mike Holmes was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Nolan Bumstead was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.

Game 2 saw Brady Moxham start on the mound going 3 innings allowing 1 hit, 2 runs with 2 BB’s and 2 K’s.  Jared Kennedy threw 2 innings allowing 3 hits, 3 runs, 1 earned run with 4 BB’s and 2 K’s.  Reilly O’Rourke earned the victory going 2 innings allowing 3 hits with 1 K.   Offensively, the Jets were led Joel Mazurkewich who was 1 for 4.  Wyatt Schlosser was 1 for 3 with a double.  Cole Schneider was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and an RBI.  Brett Harrison was 1 for 3.  Nolan Rattai was 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI.  Nolan Bumstead was 2 for 4 with a 2 run HR.

The Jets will now travel to Boise, Idaho.  The Jets will take in the Boise State vs Air Force football game and play 4 game vs Idaho Cubs and Team Washington.
