Jets finish off fall season with a victory over PBA!

Lethbridge, AB – ed

The VAB Jets finished off the fall season with a good victory over the PBA by a score of 16-7.  Luc Hebert started on the mound going 2 innings allowing 2 hits, 1 unearned run and 1 BB.  Ben Onyshko went 1 inning allowing 1 earned run with 2 BB’s and 1 K.  Nathan Haroldson threw 1 inning allowing 1 BB.  JP Stephenson threw 1 inning allowing 1 hit with 3 K’s.  Patrick Machibroda threw 1 inning allowing 1 hit.   Jesse Borden threw 1 inning allowing 1 hit, 1 run, 1 BB and 2 K’s.  Nelson Quark threw 1 inning allowign 1 hit, 2 runs, 1 BB and 1 K.  Nick Stobbe finished things off throwing 1 inning allowing 1 hit, 1 unearned run with 3 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Chris Thbideau who was 2 for 6 with a double, HR and 5 RBI’s.  Justin Clarkson was 3 for 6 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Jager Toffan was 1 for 5.  Anthony McKinley was 3 for 5 with a double, HR and 2 RBI’s.  Brayden Resch was 2 for 5 with a double and 3 RBI’s.  Jose Calderon was 1 for 4.  Nolan Rattai was 1 for 5 with an RBI.  Joel Mazurkewich was 3 for 5.

The Jets ended the fall season with a record of 12-12 overall.  The Jets were 7-1 against HS programs and 5-11 against college programs.  See You Next Spring at Jets Stadium!!!

Weekend Schedule changes!!!

Vauxhall, AB – 

The weekend schedule against PBA has been adjusted due to the weather forecast.  The weekend games have been cancelled and the VAB will be playing PBA on Friday at 1 pm (9 inning game) .  The game will be played at Lloyd Nolan Yard in Lethbridge.  Weather permitting the Jets will finish off the fall season with the 100 inning annual Marathon Game Saturday October 27th at 10 am.

Jets complete the sweep of St. Fx!

The VAB Jets completed the sweep of the St. FX Academy by scores of 13-0 and 16-13.   Game 1 saw Luc Hebert start and earn the victory going 5 innings allowing 1 hit with 2 BB’s and 5 K’s.  Brandon Radmacher finished things off throwing 2 innings allowing 1 hit with 4 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Jager Toffan who was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Brayden Resch was 2 for 3 with a triple and 3 RBI’s.  Nolan Rattai was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s.  Treyton Grant and Brett Harrison chipped in with 1 hit each.  Joel Mazurkewich was 2 for 4 with an RBI.  Jose Calderon rounded out the offence going 1 for 1 with 2 RBI’s and a double.

Game 2 saw the Jets build a 13-0 lead early in the game but FX battled back with a late game rally to make it close 16-13.  Nelson Quark started on the mound going 3 innings allowing 1 BB with 5 K’s.  Nic Stobbe went 2 innings allowing 4 hits, 3 earned runs with 2 hits and 2 K’s.  Nathan Haroldson threw 1 2/3 innings allowing 3 hits, 7 runs, 3 earned runs with 4 BB’s and 2 K’s.  Partick Machibroda earned the save giving up 2 hits with 1 K.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Chris Thibideau who was 3 for 5 with a HR and 5 RBI’s.  Joel Mazurkewich was 2 for 4 with an RBI.  Jager Toffan was 3 for 4 with a HR and 2 RBI’s.  Brayden Resch was 1 for 4 with a HR and 2 RBI’s.  Nolan Rattai was 1 for 1 with an RBI, 3 HBP’s and a BB.  Jose Calderon was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Treyton Grant was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s and Mike Holmes was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and an RBI to round out the offence.

Next action is a 4 game set to round out the fall season in Lethbridge vs PBA.

Big day for Thibideau leads to 2 victories for the Jets

The Jets played well enough to win a couple of game vs St. FX Academy by scores of 11-3 and 15-1.  Game 1 saw Ben Onyshko get the start going 4 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 run, 2 BB’s with 5 K’s.  Ben Kennedy finished things off going 3 innings allowing 5 hits, 2 runs with 5 BB’s and 4 K’s.  Offensively, it was a huge day for Chris Thibideau who was 3 for 4 with a HR, 3 RBI’s and 2 runs scored.  Justin Clarkson was 1 for 3.  Jager Toffan was 2 for 3 with a double.  Anthony McKinley was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s.  Jose Calderon was 1 for 4 with a grand slam.  Brett Harrison rounded out the offense going 1 for 3.

Game 2 saw Jesse Borden start on the mound going 4 quality innings allowing 3 hits, 1 run with 4 K’s.  JP Stevenson threw 2 great innings allowing 1 hit with 5 K’s.  Patrick Machibroda finished things off with a clean 7th inning.  Chris Thbideau continued to lead the offense going 2 for 3 with 2 HR’s and 3 RBI’s.  Justin Clarkson was 1 for 4.  Brayden Resch was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Nolan Rattai was 1 for 2 with an RBI.  Mike Holmes was 1 for 1.  Treyton Grant was 1 for 1 and Joel Mazurkewich rounded out the offense going 1 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI’s.

Jets battle hard against NAIA powerhouse!

Boise, Idaho –

The Jets finished off their Boise, Idaho trip with a 6-2 loss to the College of Idaho.  Brandon Radmacher started on the mound going 4 innings allowing 5 hits, 3 runs, 4 BB’s and 1 K.  Nelson Quark threw 3 innings allowing 4 hits, 3 runs, 1 BB and 1 K.  Patrick Machibroda fnished things off throwing 2 solid innings allowing 2 hits with 1 K.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Chris Thibideau who was 1 for 4.  Justin Clarkson was 1 for 4.  Brett Harrison was 1 for 1.  Treyton Grant had a good day going 2 for 4 with 1 RBI.

Next action for the Jets is Saturday at Jets Stadium vs St. Fx Academy.   Game time is set for 1 pm (DH).

Jets split with Treasure Valley Community College!

Boise, Idaho – 

The Jets split with TVCC on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Hawk Stadium.  The Jets won game 1 by a score of 3-1 and game 2 saw the Jets give up 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th to lose 11-10.

Game 1 Luc Hebert started and earned the victory going 6 innings allowing 4 hits, 1 run, 1 BB and 2 K’s.  JP Stevenson earned the save going 2 innings allowing 1 hit with 1 K.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Jager Toffan who was 1 for 4 with a triple and an RBI.  Nolan Bumstead was 1 for 3.  Brayden Resch was 1 for 4.  Brett Harrison was 1 for 3 with a run scored and Joel Mazurkewich was 1 for 2 with a run scored.

Game 2 saw a back and forth battle.  Nick Stobbe start on the mound going 3 innings allowing 4 hits, 5 runs with 5 BB’s and 1 K.  Ben Kennedy went 3 innings allowing 2 hits allowing 2 runs, with 3 BB’s and 2 K’s.  Jesse Borden took the loss despite throwing well going 2 1/3 innings allowing 4 hits, 4 unearned runs with 2 BB’s and 3 K’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by a big game by Justin Clarkson going 4 for 6 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI’s.  Chris Thibideau was 2 for 4 with 3 runs scored.  Jager Toffan was 1 for 5 with an RBI.  Nolan Bumstead was 1 for 5 , Brayden Resch was 2 for 5 with a run scored, Jose Calderon rounded out the offense going 1 for 3 with a run scored.

The Jets finished the game and toured the Boise State Football Complex and Hall of Fame facility.

The Jets will take on the College of Idaho (2012 NAIA World Series Participant) at 11:30 am again at the Boise Hawk Stadium.

Jets open up Boise trip with a victory!

The Jets opened up their trip with a 6-1 victory over the Idaho Cubs scout team.   Ben Onyshko started on the mound earning the victory going 6 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 run with 2 BB’s and 6 K’s.  Nathan Haroldson closed things out going 3 innings allowing 0 hit, 0 runs with 2 BB’s.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Justin Clarkson who was 1 for 4 with a 2 run HR.  Chris Thibideau was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  Jager Toffan was 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored.  Anthony McKinley was 1 for 3 with a double.  Nolan Bumstead was 1 for 4.  Brayden Resch was 1 for 2 with an RBI.  Nolan Rattai was 1 for 4 and Mike Holmes was 2 for 3.

Next action for the Jets is tomorrow with a DH vs Treasure Valley CC from Ontario, Oregon beginning at 10 am.

Remembering Guy Fagnan – a great baseball supporter!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jeremie Fagnan (2010 Jets Alumni) and his family.  Jeremie’s father “Guy” passed away over the weekend after a long battle with cancer.  Guy was a great baseball supporter and fan, loving father and caring husband.  His warm smile and extremely upbeat and positive personality will be sadly missed by everyone in the Jets Family.

Jets and Dawgs split again!

Lethbridge, AB –

The Jets and Dawgs split again – this time in Lethridge.  The Dawgs won game 2 by a score of 7-4 and the Jets won game 2 by a score of 8-2.   Game 1 saw Brandon Radmacher start on the mound going   3 2/3 innings allowing 5 hits, 4 runs, 2 BB’s and 6 K’s.   Pat Machibroda threw 1 2/3 inning allowing 1 hit, 1 run, 1 BB and 2 K’s.  Justin Clarkson finished things off going 2/3 of an inning with 1 K.   Offensively, the Jets were led by Justin Clarkson who was 1 for 3.  Jager Toffan was 1 for 3.  Anthony McKinley was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles.  Brayden Resch was 1 for 4 and Jose Calderon rounded out the offence going 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.   The Jets committed 5 errors in the ball game.

Game 2 saw the Jets come out on top 8-2.   Luc Hebert started on the mound and continued with his solid fall going 4 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 run, 1 BB and 3 K’s.  Nathan Haroldson threw 2 2/3 innings allowing 1 run with 5 BB’s and 4 K’s.  Ben Kennedy came in and stranded the bases loaded with a K.  Offensively, the Jets were led by Justin Clarkson was 1 for 4 with a 2 run HR.  Jager Toffan was  1 for 4.  Brayden Resch was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  Jose Calderon was 1 for 4 with an RBI.  Brett Harrison was 1 for 4 with a triple and an RBI.  Joel Mazurkewich was 2 for 2 with an RBI and 2 BB’s.  Trey Grant rounded out the offense going 1 for 2 with a run scored.

Next action is Friday night in Boise, Idaho against the Idaho Cubs.  The Jets will be playing at the Boise Hawks Professional Stadium (Chicago Cubs Minor League Club).
