Field’s walk-off double in the bottom of the 7th secures victory over Pirates!

Kamloops, BC –

The VAB came from behind by a score of 4-1 to win 7-6 over the Nanaimo Pirates in the final day of the BOW!  Brandon Radmacher started on the mound going 4 innings allowing 4 hits, 4 runs, 2 earned runs with 3 BB’s and 1 K.  Nick Stobbe threw 1 inning scoreless.  Luke Whelpton threw 1 inning allowing 1 hit, 1 earned run with 2 K’s and 2 BB’s.  Chris Thibideau threw the final inning to earn the victory.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Jason Field who was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s including the game winning double in the bottom of the 7th inning. Dan Moro and Jager Toffan pitched in with 1 hit each.  Konner Lutz was 1 for 1 with a double and an RBI.  Devan Thomas was 2 for 4 with an RBI and run scored.  JG Weeks was 2 for 3 with a run scored and Guillaume Gingras was 1 for 2 with 2 RBI’s and 2 runs scored to round out the offence.

The victory pushes the Jets record to 7-4 overall.  Next action is Tuesday April 10th vs Bishop Gorman HS in Las Vegas @ CSN.  Game time is 7 pm.
