Ford committs to Prairie Baseball Academy!

Infielder – Tyson Ford – Chinook, Alberta has committed to play for the Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs for the fall of 2008.  Frod will be attending the University of Lethbridge.  Tyson will be playing for recently Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame inductee – Blair Kubicek and will be competing for a Canadian College Baseball Championship.  PBA has a tremendous track record of developing Canadian players for the rigors of college baseball and sending them on to very good 4 year schools in the United States.

Coach McTavish had this to say about Ford, “Tyson has sure had some tough luck this season.  He underwent shoulder surgery a couple of months and due to his committment to his rehab is ahead of schedule coming back off the injury.  Tyson was one of best hitters throughout the winter and has made so many strides with his game in the last 2 years we really look forward to seeing how good he will be for the Dawgs.  Tyson carries a 94% average in high school, he is tremendous in the community (currently coaching the Vauxhall Bantam team), he is one of the most committed players we have in the weight room, and his game on the field continues to improve everyday – even while rehabbing.  WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR IN A STUDENT-ATHLETE!  PBA is getting the complete package with Tyson.

The VAB wishes Tyson all the success in college!
